Mixed Munster Club Tournament Great Success!

With 33 players representing four different clubs it was indeed a fun tournament! We had players from Ballincollig, Killarney, Leeside and Beechhill.

Fun Mixed Munster League!
? Our season opens with a Munster Mixed League which is to be held on Sunday 15th September starting at 10:00 am. Finishing around 3 pm.
Taking place in Knocknaheeny Sports Hall. James Kenneally Sports Centre, Holly Hill Lane, Cork,

The league will be mixed in ability, gender and clubs. Players who enter will be put into different pools of ability. The draw will be done ‘live’ on the day. Each team will have four players from the different pools so that the matches will be very competitive! There will be reverse singles and a doubles per match.
No coaching is allowed except by players who are on your team. Emphasis is on building a stronger Munster identify as well as different clubs engaging positively with each other. We will be encouraging the better players on the teams to support the weaker players.
Fee is 10 euro per player – entry on the day.

leeside Tabletennis club Munster club of 2019
Congratulations to Leeside for winning Munster Tabletennis club of the year.
First combined Para ID Camp held in Cork with Gavin McGuire ran with great success!

Beechhill hosted this Para ID camp with the cooperation of Leeside. Gavin ran an excellent camp and was assisted in his coaching by Micheal (front centre) who won an All Star ie. Top 5 in the world Paras. Beechhill provided coaches to assist on the day.
Table Tennis- Where Men are Men and Women are Women ( not “ Ladies !”)
The Munster Branch proposal for Table Tennis Ireland to change the name of the Women’s competition from “Ladies” to ” Women’s ” whilst Men’s can continue to be called ” Men’s “has been received positively by TTI Management Committee.

Huge thanks to South Coast for all the support they gave to Munster last season. Not only for running the schools competitions but also for Supporting the WIS event the extra help in setting up and providing helpers for the Special Olympics event as well as supporting the Teachers Award for encouraging new coaches and helping to set up the performance camp.
This year’s committee are named on the “Contact Us” page. I hope all the clubs will support us to help Munster remain strong and vibrant for the new playing season.
